Message from the maker:
About the nature of natural indigo – a newly fermented indigo solution has strong energy but it can only be used for about 2 weeks and then it is finished. Even the color produced by a vat at the beginning and end of the day are different. Like people, indigo gets tired after working a whole day.
72 x 14 inches
Can be machined washed on a gentle setting using natural washing liquid to preserve the natural color. Store out of direct sunlight.
About the maker:
INDIKO creates clothing and other textiles using natural indigo dye, which designer Kosuke Ueda extracts by hand from true indigo plant. The uneven, organic color textures of indigo give Kosuke’s handmade products their one-of-kind character. Each piece is made entirely by hand in Kosuke’s studio in the Catskill foothills, and every step in the process is organic.
